Cette semaine, je suis contente car Gretchen, du blog Canela et Comino, a choisi des biscottis. Les lecteurs les plus fidèles de mon blog savent que ce n’est pas la première fois que j’en fais, je connais la technique. Cependant, c’est la première que je les fais en suivant la recette de Dorie Greenspan. La grande différence avec ma recette habituelle, c’est l’utilisation du beurre. Visuellement ça ne change pas grand chose à l’aspect des biscuits mais au goût, un régal. Comment je sais que je vais garder cette recette? D’habitude, quand je fais des biscottis, Michaël en mange un ou deux et n’y touche plus. Là, il n’a pas arrêté de dire que c’était super bon et d’en reprendre. Bon signe, non?

This week, I’m happy because Gretchen, of Canela et Comino, chose to bake biscottis. Readers who often visit my blog know that these are not my first biscottis, still it’s the first time I follow Dorie’s recipe. The big difference between the two recipes is the use of butter. The biscottis still look the same, but they taste really different. How do I know I will definitly use this recipe? When I usually bake biscottis, Michaël picks one or two and then forget the biscottis. This time, he was repeating that they were good and eat biscotti after biscotti. That’s a good sign, isn’t it?

Your biscotti look great! And didn’t you know, butter makes everything taste better or was it bacon ;-)

These were the first biscotti I’ve ever made, so I didn’t realize that it was unusual to use butter! But weren’t they good?

It’s good to know that Dorie’s recipe tasted different (maybe better?) than your other versions due to the butter. Your biscotti look great in that jar!
